I am not just impressed but I am in LOVE with this new tool. Finally gone are the of endless Office PC-to-USB-to-Mac-to-Home PC-to-USB-to-Laptop-to-whatever madness….

Register for just ONE account (Free: 2GB/$9.99 per month: 50GB/ $19.99 per month:100GB) and you could access it anywhere as long as you got internet.

I think the coolest thing about it is the DropBox software that comes with it. You just have to install it on your different computers and immediately it creates a “folder” in your different computers that are all sync to one central location. Pretty cool I have to say… Get it here

Maybe because all teens already registered years ago?

Note: I was going through my posts and found this draft, which I started in 1999. I found it hilariuos that I wrote a list as such back then…

1. Teach them to fail

2. Teach them to gamble

3. Teach them politics

4. Teach them to bend the laws

5. Teach them how to bully

6. Teach them how to swear without foul words

7. Teach them how to hurt and get hurt

8. Teach them how to lie “honestly”

9. Teach them how to act confident and present themself

10. Teach them to shut up and ask good questions

11.  Teach them how to make good decisions even when information deprived

Updated: 2009

12. Teach them PR

13. Teach them how to bluff like they are an expert in anything

14. Teach them how to hide their true emotions

… I wonder if I will get jailed for this

Ever since I caught my eye over The Flip at Webink’s “A Flip Video camera in every marketers and customers pocket” I couldn’t help, but keep wanting to get one. Not only does it switch on and ready to record in less than 4 seconds, it’s as small as a cell phone (even smaller than the sexy iPhone), weighs roughly 3.3oz,  goes as cheap as $149, and even being able to customized the design however you like it (great for sticking in your company’s logo and passing it out as gifts)

Finally, now I can catch my friends in their embarrassing moments and use as blackmail when the time comes…

The Flip 400x400 Blogger Media

On a side note, The Flip has recently just introduced the affliation program, which I think is such an awesome idea that fits their marketing perfectly. Flip was able to create an online rave through the support of bloggers, now with more incentives, I can only see it generate even more online buzz ever (even I am talkng about it…)

Dell Singapore recently launched a new social media marketing campaign, Dell Swarm. The idea is the more buyer of a specific Dell laptop within a time range, the cheaper the price of the laptop becomes for everyone. The campaign closely embed facebook, twitter and youtube, allowing users to easily share “the urge to buy” with friends and families, hopefully attracting more buyers creating a win-win situation for everyone.

Dell Swarm Singapore

However…
judging from the histiry of sales, the results are rather poor I have to say, maybe 1 to 2 buyers per machine. I wonder if it just hasn’t caught on yet  or because the laptops are Dell?

I was searching around for social media monitoring service and came across ChatterGuard. Haven’t had the chance to actually evaluate their services yet, but there is one thing that caught my eye:

Don’t Let This Happen to Your Hotel

Dont let this happen to your hotel

This seems like a great approach to get businesses to start taking social media seriuosly.

Yes! I will fight my laziness and regain control of this forgotten blog (is there a word for this? I bet 50% of all blogs are left thre dying) Well, atleast I’ll try…

Been a while since my last post, yet I am doing this for an interesting bank campaign that I am playing with. I know this is a little annoying to see a weird ad-like post for my come back posting, I promise I will get back to writing something meaningful soon =)

Why

Lately I was forwarded an article by our CEO. Unlike just another junk chain main, this one turned out to be really insightful and ‘close-to-heart’. In it I honestly see the reflection of the society I that live in and I feel sad. Here I would like to share this article (BTW, it is long and in Mandarin):

Duck VS cow

According to Wikipedia:

Balutis a fertilized duck egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell. They are considered delicacies of Asia and especially the Philippines, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Popularly believed to be an aphrodisiac and considered a high-protein, hearty snack, baluts are mostly sold by street vendors at night in the regions where they are available.

Rocky Mountain Oystersare culinary names given to boar or bull testicles. They are usually peeled, coated in flour, pepper and salt, sometimes pounded flat, then deep-fried.

My coworker and I got into a heated debate for which of these is more edible. So if your life is depended upon it, which would you rather eat:

Balut or Rocky Mountain Oyster?

I for one rather eat bull balls, semi-developed baby duck is just waaaaaaaaaay too disgusting.

Cheers!

Hi, I am aL!

I was a 23 year old (25 now). I was born in Hawaii, but later moved to Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Seattle, San Jose, and now back to Taiwan. I now work at VEDA International and specializes in CSR and Social Media Marketing. We are working on a new CSR Knowledge Management platform, so check that out as well.

Outside work, I enjoy random conversations, a good read, spontaneous travel and a cup of Chinese tea to wind down my hectic day in this busy Asian city. And that dog avatar? Yes I am a Huskies!
